Conflict Management Workshops
The Appalachian Peace and Justice Network (APJN) customizes conflict
management workshops to meet your group’s goals, time availabilities,
and budget. These workshops can be facilitated in the form of skits, group
discussions, audiovisuals, micro-labs, and simulations.
APJN's conflict management trainings require a coordinating committee of
four to six workshop leaders, and a diverse group of preferably 30
participants. The training prepares the workshop leaders to:
- Design and implement
a model institution/organization-wide conflict management
program;
- Incorporate learned
skills in existing curricula or company plan;
- Teach conflict
management skills to students;
- Utilize pivotal
skills during interactions with staff, parents, students; and
- Adapt skills.
Additionally, the APJN conflict management training prepares
participants to:
- Learn conflict
resolution skills; and
- Maintain a climate
conducive to cooperation, discipline, and peer mediation.
